About the NYCLB
The New York Center for Liquid Biofuels (NYCLB) at Morrisville State College was established in 2007 to conduct research in the use of biofuels. The Center received funding from New York state to begin research and development, with the ultimate intention of creating a statewide biodiesel infrastructure—creating fuel used in New York from feedstock grown in New York.Morrisville State College faculty and students, industry professionals and business leaders will collaborate and conduct groundbreaking research on biodiesel use.
The NYCLB will focus on research in the following areas:
- Production and feedstocks
- Use in engines: emissions, stability, and performance
- Options and uses for by-products
- Use of biofuels in locomotive transportation
